A special hello to all of you during this holiday season!
I came across this video and thought I would share. If you are like me, with several WIP (works in progress) take heart! It only took this woman 67 years to finish hers!
But wow, isn't it beautiful!
Thanks for stopping in and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Oh my!! I don't know whether to laugh or cry or both! Some projects seem to take and last forever but you just feel compelled to keep at them till they are done. This was certainly a labor of love for this fine lady and a testament to her sheer determination and love of crochet!
ReplyDeleteI agree Clara, it's a true labor of love! And what a beautiful family heirloom she has.
ReplyDeleteWOW - what a tedious process - thread crochet: I love it, but I can't deal with it very long - it gives me a headache, but it sure is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI have a needlepoint pillow that my mother started when I was a child and then she lost interest and one day I will finish it... or not! I have the wooden embroidery hoop and yarn to go with it. The material on which the design is printed has turned yellow-ish from being around for all those years. It's another tedious (small stitches) project and that's why I've not done it yet.
